(WGTD)---City Administrator Ed St. Peter said he visited Mayor John Antaramian in his hospital room Tuesday morning, and that the mayor is "doing fine" after having suffered a heart attack on Sunday.
The 64 year-old Antaramian was stricken at his home. A heart catheterization procedure was successful, according to St. Peter.
It's not known when Antarmian will return to work.
St. Peter said Tuesday's visit consisted primarily of shop talk, with Antaramian wanting to make sure that the bases in his absence were being covered.
Antaramian was elected to a four-year term in 2016 after having served as mayor for 16 years starting in 1992.
Antaramian's next official duty as mayor is to preside over Monday night's city council meeting, according to St. Peter. If Antaramian remains out on sick leave, then council president Anthony Kennedy would be called on to preside.
