Two teenagers from Kenosha have been arrested in connection with the death of Olivia Mackay, a 17 year-old Indian Trail student whose body was discovered alongside a Mt. Pleasant road on July 24th.
In a news release Friday, police identified the suspects as a 17 year-old boy and a 19 year-old man. WGTD is not naming the suspects because they haven't been charged.
The joint release from Kenosha and Mt. Pleasant police said the teens were taken into custody late Thursday evening.
The Kenosha Police Dept. is now the lead agency in the case, according to the release, and charges will be filed by the Kenosha County District Attorney's office.
The release says the investigation is still active and that anyone with information is asked to call Kenosha Police.
