Town of Wheatland---A string of fires, some attributable to the dry and windy weather, is continuing.
According to posts on the Kenosha County Scanner Facebook page, two barns caught fire Tuesday morning at Sunnyview Dairy Farm at 4602 Highway 83. In addition, parts of adjacent fields burned.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept., all of the animals were saved, and that the cause of the fire was determined to be "natural."
Relief from the dry weather is in the forecast for Wednesday and especially Wednesday evening in the form of showers and thunderstorms.
The Village of Pleasant Prairie Tuesday put in place until further notice a burning ban.
The ban does not apply to gas and charcoal grills, although residents are advised to use extreme care and may want to have handy a garden hose.
