Mount Pleasant Police Chief Tim Zarzecki says the female body---discovered Monday afternoon---in a ditch in Mount Pleasant is NOT that of Lynn Rickard---the woman who went missing from her Town of Dover home about a month ago. A news release indicates that the body was found in a ditch---in the 11-thousand block of Louis Sorenson Road. Mount Pleasant Village Trustee John Hewitt---said Monday night---the body was discovered about a half-mile from his home by some neighbors out riding on their ATV.
According to the news release---the cause, manner and circumstances surrounding the woman’s death---and---her identity---remain under investigation by Mount Pleasant Detectives. The Wisconsin State Crime Lab’s Response Team---and---the State Patrol’s Reconstruction Unit are assisting in the investigation.
