Citizen Tips Lead to Drug Investigations

A supervisor with the Kenosha Drug Operations Group—or K-DOG for short—says if anything can be said about his office’s workload…is that it’s steady. A supervisor with the joint city/county task force was a recent guest on Community Matters. Most of the drugs that are sold on the street in the Kenosha area come from Chicago, with the most popular drugs still being heroin and cocaine.  The unit relies heavily on tips from citizens. A recent Crime Stoppers tip, he said, has mushroomed into an investigation centered in Chicago that involves the FBI and the A-T-F. For the full program, click here.
