Daycare Restrictions; Walworth County Case; Lake Co. Cases Growing

(WGTD)---Gov. Evers is ordering daycare centers to scale down. Centers may not operate with more than 10 staff or 50 children present at any one time. The restrictions in size goes into effect Thursday morning in order to give child care providers and families time to make plans. A news release says providers are being asked to prioritize families of healthcare and essential service providers, "using good faith to determine who those families are." Those using care who can keep their children at home are being asked to do do.

(WGTD)---Walworth County has its confirmed case of the virus, according to the Walworth County Division of Public Health. The individual, who's recovering at home, recently traveled domestically. The number of Lake Co., Illinois cases has exploded. The county just south of the stateline reported a totala of 22 cases Wednesday. It's first case was reported just seven days earlier. As of last report, 4 confirmed cases have been reported in Kenosha County with one in Racine County.

(WGTD)--- Kenosha Police are warning of a new text scam targeted at vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 crisis. According to KPD, scammers have sent text messages offering "$1,000 in aid to help families during the outbreak" if they click a link. Once clicked, the victims identity can be stolen. KPD says those who receive the meessage should disregard it.

Andrea's has closed both its diner and gift shop.

The Racine Theatre Build has canceled all performances and activities through the end of May.

Lemon Street Callery and Clay Studio has closed.
