Dems Debate; RPD Report Discussion; Foxconn Q & A

Mt. Pleasant---An update on Foxconn is scheduled to be presented to the public Monday evening at Mt. Pleasant Village Hall. According to a spokesperson for the village, the report is a resumption of monthly meetings on the topic that were put on hold during the winter months. The briefing is to feature village officials and project partners, and will begin at 6. The audience will be able to ask questions. The event will be streamed live on the village's Facebook page.

Racine---A nearly one-year-old study of personnel problems within the Racine Police Department is up for discussion at a Monday meeting of the city's Police and Fire Commission. About a year ago, the city contracted with a Milwaukee law firm to explore various allegations of racism, sexism and low morale that were revealed in an internal survey of department employees. An agenda item has the Commission discussing a communication from the mayor requesting to discuss releasing the study. The Commission meeting begins at 3:45.

Kenosha---In what could be their only face-to-face debate before the election, the three Democrats on the April 2nd special election primary ballot are expected to meet Wednesday evening in a debate co-hosted by WGTD and streamed live on Facebook. The election was scheduled in the 64th Assembly district after Peter Barca resigned to become state Revenue Dept. Secretary. The candidates are Gina Walkington, Tip McGuire and Spencer Zimmerman. The event in the Madrigrano Auditorium in the Conference Center on the Kenosha campus will begin Wednesday evening at 7. WGTD Community Matters host Len Iaquinta will moderate.
