Gateway Picks Just the Right Guy to Keynote First Ever Virtual Graduation

(WGTD)---If something goes haywire during Gateway Technical College’s first ever virtual commencement ceremony, the main speaker could be in a position to offer a little help.

Patrick Booth is President and CEO of CCB Technology, a Racine-based, IT business with a national clientele.

Booth was tapped to be the keynote speaker well before the pandemic hit. He and other participants will tape their comments in advance. The edited program will then be posted on Gateway’s website at 5 p.m. May 19th.

Speaking on WGTD’s Morning Show last week, Booth, despite the times, said he’ll be presenting an upbeat message.  "I think we're going to come out of this stronger than ever before," Booth said. "I know we're going to have to fight and work hard. But I absolutely believe businesses are going to learn so much through all of this," he said.

The main lesson is the importance of adapting to changing conditions. And employers, once they regain their footing, will be eager to hire skilled workers that'll enable them to adapt more nimbly in the future, Booth said.

CCB Technology was founded in the basement of his parents’ home back in 1991. It specializes in offering a full range of IT services to small businesses and non-profits.
