German Company Identified as the First Tenant of New Corporate Park

(WGTD)---A German health care company has been identified as the first tenant of a new industrial park that's to be located south of Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets.

Fresenius Kabi plans to build a nearly 600,000 sq. ft. assembly, fulfillment and office facility that'll initially employee about 100. In ten years, the company says the number could rise to 164, according to documents from the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission. The commission is scheduled to review site plans Monday night.

The company's North American headquarters is located in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Fresenius Kabi's web site says the company employees 1,500 in Illinois.

According to a news release, Fresenius Kabi is a "global health care company that specializes in life-saving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition." The company's products and services are used to help care for critically and chronically ill patients.

The building would be the first in the 300-acre Stateline 94 Corp. Park that was approved last summer by the Pleasant Prairie Village Board. Reports at the time indicated that the park would consist of five buildings with as many as 1,250 employees over the next ten years.
