Pleasant Prairie---A newly-improved hiking path in Prairie Springs Park now has a name: The Donald Hackbarth Trail. The trail will be dedicated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Friday evening at 5. The nearly two mile-long trail begins near the beach pavilion and runs northwest through woods, wetlands and fields to River Road. Additional feet of board walk were recently installed, according to John Steinbrink, Jr., the village's public works director. Hackbarth, a long-time pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, also served on the village's plan and parks commissions.
