Madison---UW-Parkside's Wyllie Hall could get its badly-needed renovation after all. The Legislature's Joint Finance Committee on Monday voted to fund a number of UW building projects that weren't included in Gov. Walker's proposed budget. The list includes $35 million to renovate Wyllie, a 44 year-old building that's suffering from leaky steam pipes and other old-age maladies. The building houses classrooms, computer labs, key administrative offices, the library and the Main Place commons area. In a statement Monday evening, Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford said she was pleased with the committee decision. The full legislature will have the final say on the budget, barring any gubernatorial vetoes.
