Kenosha Battery Victim; Mt. Pleasant Bystander Assist; Liquid Pot Recovered

Kenosha---A battery victim who was airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital because of the seriousness of his injuries is expected to make a full recovery, police said Monday. Police and rescue were called to the 4500 blk. of 21st Ave. around 8:45 Saturday morning. Police believe the man may have been beaten by the children of his girlfriend.

Mt. Pleasant---A bystander helped a 20 year-old woman escape from a 25 year-old man who'd been assaulting her at the Root River Parkway on N. Green Bay Rd. Friday morning. According to a news release, Anton Williams is being held on charges of attempted murder and strangulation. Williams allegedly struck the woman with his vehicle as she tried to run away. Police said the bystander drove the woman to a safe place before calling 911. She was treated at the hospital then released.

A 22 year-old Kenosha man was arrested on drug charges after he was pulled over for speeding on I-94 in Racine County Saturday morning. Kenny Rua was taken into custody after authorities found 206 vials of liquid marijuana for use in electronic vaping pens in his vehicle. The Racine County Sheriff's Dept. said the drugs have a street value of $6,000. Rua was also cited for illegal window tint, operating while suspended, displaying unauthorized plates and having no registration.

Racine--Two teenagers were picked up this week for allegedly damaging an unmanned surveillance vehicle that had been parked in a problem neighborhood. The vehicle's cameras captured the teens damaging the hood of the vehicle and slashing one of its tires. The vehicle had been parked in the 1000 blk. of Hilker Place, an area that has had a lot of 'shots fired' calls lately.
