Kenosha County Corrections Officers: "We're Treated Unfairly"

A classification and compensation study for corrections officers was approved by the Kenosha County Board last night, and while thanking the county for giving them a pay raise, the Corrections officers claim they are still not being treated fairly. Denise Bell noted they are not paid for holiday and have to work several short weeks every year. She questioned why Sheriff David Beth singles them out. Supervisor Terry Rose said there's no system that will will please everyone. Supervisor Steve Bostrom---who was recently elected to the County Board---said he would have liked Sheriff David Beth to have attended the meeting to address some of the issues for him. The compensation study was approved on a 22 to 1 vote.
