Kenosha Death Probe: No Official ID or Cause of Death But Plenty to Report

Kenosha---For the second day in a row, yellow tape surrounded a home near the lakefront where the decomposing body of a man was discovered by a construction crew on Tuesday.

Police have neither identified the man or announced a cause of death.

A neighbor said the man was her landlord who lived in the home where he died. She said police told her the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

If the identification is accurate, the victim was a 51 year-old man who apparently didn't work and traveled frequently, splitting his time between his home in Kenosha and residences elsewhere.

According to Facebook posts and court records, the man had been involved in a six-year long, on-again, off-again at times volatile relationship with a Kenosha woman. It ended badly this past spring, with the man posting unflattering photos of the woman on his Facebook page and making unkind comments.

Last year at this time, the woman, who worked as a bartender, secured a restraining order against him, which was eventually dropped at her request this past November.

Police remained at the scene---the corner of 59th Pl. and 4th Ave., about a block west of Eichelman Park. Tow trucks were observed removing vehicles from the property.
