Kenosha police have now identified the victim of an early morning shooting last Sunday in the 67-hundred block of 24th Avenue. The victim is 39-year-old Bernard R. Reavers---and---police believe he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. According to Kenosha police---Reavers lived in the lower flat at 6727 – 24th Avenue. The shooting occurred in the upper flat. Police believe that Reavers had gone upstairs to lend a vacuum cleaner to the resident of the upper flat---Angela Woods---and---he may have interrupted an armed robbery that was taking place. Police believe that Angela Woods was involved in illegal drug activity which may have led to the suspected armed robbery.
The shooting suspect is a male and is considered to be armed and dangerous. The victim---Bernard Reavers---leaves behind three young children. Police are interested in looking at any type of security footage---from the date and time of the shooting---8:30am on Sunday, August 21st------from within a few miles of the 6727 – 24th Avenue address.
