Kenosha Train Fatality and Pleasant Prairie Hit & Run Victim Both Identified

A Racine woman has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed by a Metra commuter train Sunday morning just after 8. 46-year-old Sarah Fugette had been in Kenosha visiting relatives, according to a news release from the Kenosha Police Dept. The fatality occurred near a wooded area east of Sheridan Rd. near where 80th St. dead-ends at the Union Pacific tracks.

The victim of a fatal hit and run in Pleasant Prairie just after nightfall Sunday evening has been identified as 58-year-old Jeffrey A. Lucas. The accident occurred on STH 165 just west of Sheridan Rd. According to witnesses, the vehicle that struck the man fled west on 165. Police believe the vehicle is an older model Dodge Avenger (2011-2014) that now has front passenger side damage. Specifically, the vehicle may be missing parts of the passenger side wheel cover or hubcap and it'll have damage to the windshield and the front passenger "pillar" near the windshield. The vehicle also had a black car "bra" covering the front end, a portion of which was left at the scene.
