Kenosha’s only lakefront hotel---the Best Western Harborside Inn---is now closed---at least temporarily. The Kenosha News is reporting that the property---on 6th Avenue---has a number of serious problems including: a failing roof---multiple blocked and locked exit holes in walls and ceilings---an entire floor left abandoned by a construction crew with open electrical equipment---and---many rooms with improper storage that could cause sprinkler systems to fail---according to the Kenosha Fire Department---which ordered the hotel shutdown. The newspaper reported that the hotel was closed on Monday with registered guests taken to other hotels.
