KUSD To Hold Community School Security Meetings

At last night's Kenosha School Board meeting---following a moment of silence to remember the 17 victims of the recent school shooting in Florida---School Superintendent Sue Savaglio-Jarvis said the district is doing everything it can to keep students and staff safe. She said the district is working closely with law enforcement to provide a safe environment in the schools. She added that community meetings will be held to review school active-shooter policies---and---see if more can be done. She also noted that peaceful protests are planned over the next several weeks at schools across the country in the wake of recent mass shootings.  She said IF they happen at a Kenosha Unified School---classes will continued as scheduled---and---regular attendance policies will be enforced.
