Local News: Two Shootings; DV Scare; Drug Store on Wheels Stopped

Racine---A woman was shot and seriously wounded Sunday evening in the 3000 blk. of Bate St. between Taylor Ave. and West St. Racine police released no details. Any witnesses or people with information about the case were asked to call the department at 635-7756. For anonymous tips, the Crime Stoppers numbr is 636-9330.

Kenosha---One person was shot--possibly by a ricocheting bullet--at an after-bar party in the 4900 blk. of 36th Ave early Sunday morning. Police said the injury was not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation is continuing.

Town of Burlington---A 34-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after he fired a gun into the ground during an argument that started with a group sitting around a small backyard fire. According to a report from the Racine County Sheriff's Dept., the suspect exited his house and fired five times. Four adults and four children fled the scene as deputies were called. Daniel Dusing was eventually taken into custody on charges of endangering safety, armed while intoxicated and disorderly conduct all with a domestic violence enhancer.

Town of Burlington---A variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia were confiscated during a traffic stop on the Burlington Bypass near St. Hwy. 142 early Saturday morning. Arrested was 28-year-old Kazon Grantz of Franklin. According to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff's Dept., measureable amounts of cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana were confiscated, along with several unidentified substances that Grantz purportedly described as "research drugs that are available on the internet." Grantz' vehicle also reportedly contained a scale, packaging material, pipes, lighters, filters, empty capsules, five vials of Narcan, cookers and needles. Among the charges were a couple for speeding and not having automobile insurance.
