Low Cost Dental Clinic in Racine Will Expand to Kenosha

The 2015 closing of the Racine Community Health Center left a lot of Medicaid and BadgerCare clients---as well as other low-income and un-insured Racine residents---without affordable dental care. The Community Health Center saw about 6,000 dental patients yearly. That void was closed this past November when Familia Dental opened a clinic in a former Blockbuster video store at 5201 Washington Avenue in Racine.

The company---which has clinics in Indiana, Illinois, Texas and New Mexico---accepts Medicaid---most insurance plans---and---offers uninsured residents affordable dental payment plans. On a recent edition of WGTD’s Community Matters program hosted by Marlo Harmon---Lauren Langer---the Community Relations regional Manager for Familia---talked about the company’s philosophy. Langer said that Famila Dental tries to accommodate clients’ schedules---and---make trips to the dentist easy.

Familia Dental will be opening a Kenosha clinic at the of June---and---will also be expanding  to Madison, Janesville and Green Bay.
