A young, married couple---from Kenosha---died in a motorcycle accident on the East Frontage Road of I-94 near Highway 158 early Sunday morning. 30-year-old Fredrick Igartua and his 31-year-old wife, Julianna, were ejected from the bike after impact with a guard rail on the Frontage Road. Both sustained multiple traumatic injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. (The photo is from Fredrick’s Facebook page.)
Based on the initial investigation by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department---the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway---struck the guard rail and continued another 400 feet after impact. Both appear to have been wearing helmets.
The news release from the Sheriff's Department indicates that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
