Memorials For Mosque Shooting Victims Set; Victim in Kenosha Case ID'd

A pair of events to commemorate the victims of the New Zeeland mosque shootings will be held in Kenosha. The first--an interfaith vigil-- will take place Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Kenosha at 5900 7th Ave. The event is sponsored by Congregations United to Serve Humanity and Forward Kenosha. A service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the American Albanian Islamic Center at the corner of County 'H' and 60th St. While both events are open to the public, residents who attend the service are asked to respect the customs and traditions of Muslim worship.

The woman who was fatally injured when she was struck by a vehicle on Highway 158 near the Kenosha Regional Airport early Monday morning has been identified as a Milwaukee woman, 29-year-old Desiree Williams. Police haven't released the circumstances surrounding her death. The male driver of the vehicle is said to be cooperating with investigators.
