Mixed KUSD Test Results

Oct. 7, 2026 10p

(WGTD)---Kenosha Unified administration is generally pleased with the latest test results, saying while they might not be up to snuff in some areas they represent progress.

On the standardized test, the percentage of students in grades three through eight meeting or exceeding proficiency increased from 43.4% to 45.6%, up over two points. On the other hand, test scores in math proficiency were flat.

Mixed results were reported at the high school level.

Superintendent Jeff Weiss said in a news release the district was encouraged by the growth in early-level reading, but that more work needs to be done in other areas.

The district has more than 17,500 students.
