Murder in Racine; Fire in Kenosha

Racine---A 28-year-old man died from an apparent gunshot wound in Racine this morning. Police responded to the 18-hundred block of Roosevelt Avenue for a call of a man lying on the ground and unresponsive. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was declared dead at the scene. The investigation is considered to be active and no other information is being released at this time.

Kenosha---An early morning fire at a home in the 51-hundred block of 62nd Street in Kenosha sent at least one person to the hospital this morning.  There are no details on the injuries and/or the condition of that person. Just after 2 o’clock this morning the Kenosha Fire Department responded to a call of smoke and flames at a one-story home at 5125 – 62nd Street. There was some initial concern about oxygen tanks being inside the home---so---a call was made for extra equipment. A fire investigator was also requested. No other details have been made available.
