National Guard Heading to Kenosha; Mayor and County Exec Holding Press Conference

(WGTD)---Some new developments concerning the riot that took place in downtown Kenosha Sunday night following the controversial shooting of a black man by a white Kenosha cop. Lt. Horace Staples---who heads up Kenosha Emergency Management---told WGTD just minutes ago that the National Guard will be deployed---but---the troops most likely will not get here til 8 o’clock Monday night. Also---Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian and Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser -- together with other civic and religious leaders -- will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Monday at Civic Center Park, 900 57th Street, to address the civil unrest of the last 24 hours in Kenosha. There are also reports circulating on social media that other demonstrations are being planned for tonight.
