(WGTD)---An annual initiative that's designed to make communities safer by bringing neighbors together will take place Tuesday.
National Night Out events are scheduled throughout the WGTD listening area.
In Kenosha County, six events will take place between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Kenosha County Gang Prevention is hosting an event in front of the county's new, soon-to-open Human Services Building at 3500 52nd St. The locations of other events in Kenosha County include Lincoln Park, the Shalom Center on 39th Ave., the Prairie Springs Park Ballfield pavilion, First United Methodist Church on 60th St. and St. Paul's Lutheran Church on 37th Ave.
Racine Neighborhood Watch will host a formal kickoff ceremony at 5 p.m. on Monument Square. Neighborhood celebrations will take place throughout the afternoon and evening at 16 sites spanning the City of Racine and the Village of Mt. Pleasant, including 'COP' houses, community centers, faith communities and other neighborhood gathering spaces.

The Walworth County celebration is centralized at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn from 4:30 to 8:30.
