The I-94 reconstruction project will be causing some additional headaches starting this weekend.
For the next several months, entrance and exit ramps at Highways ‘E’ and ‘K’ in Kenosha County and at Highway 11 in Racine County will be closed.
In addition, drivers won’t be able to pass under either K-R or Braun Road. Eastbound traffic under ‘E’ will be closed as well.
The moves are part of a traffic shift on the interstate that will result in the closure of the interstate’s east side, with all traffic moving in both directions on west side pavement.
Once the work is completed, there’ll be four lanes of traffic moving in each direction.
