Online Threat Leads to the Cancelation of Classes at Central High School

Paddock Lake---Classes were canceled Friday at Central High School because of a large number of absences apparently due to an anonymous threat.

According to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept., a Snapchat user posted a statement saying "CHS School Shooting 10-19-18 Be Ready."

Because no credible evidence was uncovered to back up the threat, school officials initially planned to hold classes as scheduled. They later changed their minds because of the number of absences.

The sheriff's department says it's continuing to investigate, and that anyone with any information should call them.
