Twin Lakes---The development of a large county park in western Kenosha County is moving forward.
The 347-acre KD Park already has a small lake, over four miles of hiking trails, picnic areas and a dog run.
Now comes word that a matching grant from the state DNR will help fund access improvements to the park. The $526,000 project will include construction of a new road and parking lot and installation of additional signs.
In the future, the county hopes to build a boat ramp, a portable pier and scuba diver platforms.
