Pleasant Prairie Police Ask For Help in a 1993 John Doe

Pleasant Prairie---With new information and photos to circulate, authorities are asking once again for the public's help in identifying a badly decomposed body that was found nearly 24 years ago.

The body of a man, now believed to be between 40 and 60 years old, was found by a photographer who'd been walking along railroad tracks near the state line on the west side of the village in August of 1993.

Building on work performed by the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification, the Michigan State Police Biometrics and Identification Division recently performed a facial reconstruction.

The man is possibly of Hispanic, Native American, or Caucasian ancestry, or possibly a combination of the three, according to a news release from the Pleasant Prairie Police Dept.

In recent months, the results of a DNA analysis were uploaded into a national database.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pleasant Prairie Police at 262-694-7353 or go through Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
