A Kenosha physician who'd been called a pillar of the community has died unexpectedly. A.J. Capelli, 68, was described in Facebook posts as a a primary care physician who routinely went above and beyond the call of duty in his 35 years of practice as an Aurora physician in a south side neighborhood clinic not far from where he grew up. Capelli and his brother, Paul, a retired obstetrician, were honored by the Italian American Society just last October at its Columbus Day banquet. Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser said Capelli was involved in numerous non-profits and community causes. "It's a great loss for our community," Kreuser said.
A family spokesman told WGTD News Tuesday evening that Dr. Capelli had suffered an allergic reaction of some sort last Thursday which sent him into respiratory arrest. He died on Sunday.A funeral service will be held on Saturday at St. Mark's.

A popular nightclub disc jockey who hid cameras disguised as pens in a women's restroom at a local bar and who was caught with child porn could've gotten a break at his sentencing in Kenosha court--had it not been for a lengthy criminal record. Christopher Bohatkiewicz will spend the next 15 years in prison without the possibility of early release. During Monday's sentencing hearing, the judge in the case spent a considerable amount of time reviewing Bohatkiewicz's record, which included an earlier porn case, public indecency, hit and run, criminal damage and five drunk driving citations. According to the judge, Bohatkiewicz, 45, has been in prison on three separate occasions.
