Racine Fire Dept. Rescues Two From Early-Morning House Fire

(WGTD)---Racine firefighters—called out for a house fire Sunday morning at 3:30—met one occupant at the door and rescued another from a bedroom.

The first firefighters on scene at 3511 19th St. spotted flames coming from a roof vent.

As they were in the process of breaking in, a man appeared at the door. They pulled him out, and with visibility in the single story home still good, firefighters entered and rescued a man from a bedroom.

The fire, suspected to be electrical in nature, began in the ceiling.

Damage was estimated at around $90,000.

The two occupants declined treatment.

It wasn't immediately known who called in the alarm.
