Recall Issued By a Pleasant Prairie Food Preparer

A labeling mix-up has prompted a Pleasant Prairie food company to recall ready-to-eat curry chicken salad.

The lid of the 32-ounce cups from Good Foods had the proper label—one that warns of cashews inside. But the label on the side spoke of the product being an artichoke and jalapeno dip—with no mention of nuts, a known allergen. Hence the need for the recall of 130 pounds of product which had been distributed in a seven-state region of the Midwest, including Wisconsin and Illinois.

The deli cups in question are stamped with the date of March 27th.
