Red Zone On Monday Night's Kenosha City Council Agenda

A bar whose manager called members of the Kenosha City Council racists for opposing a cabaret license for the establishment goes back before the council Monday night.

Two weeks ago, the Red Zone Bar and Grill, which has drawn large crowds in the past because it offers a deejay playing hip hop music, was denied a license. Council members cited the number of police calls to the bar's neighborhood.

The bar is now asking for an extension of its probationary cabaret license.

The bar's liquor license is also the subject of attention. The council's License and Permit Committee later this month is expected to come up with a series of orders governing the bar's operations.
