(WGTD)---A suspected underage drinker crossed the centerline on Highway 'C' in Yorkville early Tuesday morning, drove into the ditch and up a guide wire before coming to rest on its side against a utility pole.
The driver--20-year-old Melissa Oster of Union Grove--at first claimed she wasn't injured. In fact, Racine County Sheriff's deputies said she'd been standing up in her vehicle when they arrived.
Oster needed help in getting out of her Saturn Vue, then was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
She was cited for drunk driving, unsafe lane deviation, operating left of center and underage drinking.
The accident happened just before 4 a.m.
