Racine---An incident that involved social media postings of Inappropriate photos by a small number of children is under investigation by Racine Police. According to a news release, the parents of those involved have already been contacted, but no arrests have been made.
Racine---Negotiations over the sale of the county-owned Ridgewood Care Center have broken off. In a news release, Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave announced that the county and Villa Healthcare have decided to go their separate ways. It's not clear what led to the split. Last fall the county board authorized administration to begin negotiations with the Illinois-based company. Delagrave says discussions will resume with other potential suitors.
Gov. Walker announced Friday that Racine is one of three cities in the state that'll get money to help homeowners replace old lead-based water lines. The $500,000 grant is expected to benefit 200 property owners. Homeowners in the project area can apply for a rebate of up to $2,500 for the work.
