Racine County has finalized the sale of the Ridgewood Care Center to Altitude Health Services.
The County Board approved the terms of the sale to Altitude Health Services back in May---and---the closing was completed on Friday. Altitude is paying $10 million dollars for the facility. Other terms of the agreement included Altitude making $75,000 in capital improvements within 18 months---and---agreeing to operate the facility for at least the next 5 years.
County Executive Jonathan Delagrave says the transition is proceeding smoothly---and---he noted that ALL Ridgewood employees were offered jobs with the new company. He also pointed out that the new administrator at Ridgewood has more than 30 years of experience.
Kenosha and Walworth Counties continue to operate their own nursing homes.
