Senator Bob Wirch: Sell Governor's Mansion to Pay for I-94 Project

State Senator Bob Wirch---from Kenosha---is calling on Governor Scott Walker--once again---to sell off the governor’s mansion. This time---the Kenosha Democrat says the money---from a sale of the $2.5 million dollar property--- can be used to pay for I-94 road projects---here in southeastern Wisconsin---that are now scheduled to be delayed The governor’s mansion sits on 3.7 acres of land along Lake Mendota. It costs taxpayers $250,000 in annual upkeep and staff salaries. Senator Wirch has been trying to get the state to unload the mansion going back to Governor Jim Doyle’s first term.

Wirch's call for the sale of the mansion came just a head of statewide meetings---last night---discussing Wisconsin's road projects and public transportation issues.
