Symphony News: Top Finishers Announced in Young Artists’ Competition

The Racine Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the top finishers in our annual Young Artists’ Competition. Held on Sunday, February 10, the Competition drew high school instrumental students from Racine and Kenosha counties.

The top finisher, Noah Mercadillo performed Haydn’s “Cello Concerto in C.” Second place winner was Sean Steinback on the violin. Rachel Christensen, also on the violin, captured third place.

Mr. Mercadillo will entertain with an encore of his winning performance with the Racine Symphony Orchestra at our May 4, 2019 Masterworks Concert at the Siena Center. The Concert will begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 each; students under 21 are admitted free of charge.
