(WGTD)---Authorities allege that the mother of two Paddock Lake brothers who allegedly ran an illegal THC vape cartridge manufacturing business was directly involved in the operation.
43-year-old Courtney Huffhines appeared in Kenosha Court Tuesday to face a host of charges. Bond was set at $100,000. Her sons--20-year-old Tyler Huffhines and 23-year-old Jacob--were previously charged.
The brothers allegedly ran their business with employees out of a condo in Bristol. But before setting up that operation, the Huffhines' allegedly ran it out of a backroom at Courtney's real estate office in Union Grove for two to four weeks.
A former employee told investigators that the operation came to a halt after a co-worker was stopped by police and everyone became nervous.
Investigators raided the real estate office last month and found items associated with drug manufacturing in a locked cabinet.
The complaint also alleges that Courtney Huffhines was in on the scheme to rent the condo on behalf of her sons by using a fake identity.
