Kenosha police were called to investigate a third bottle bomb in the Forest Park neighborhood early Friday morning, just a short distance from two other bottles that were found earlier this week.
Police said the latest discovery was made by a resident in the 5200 blk. of 63rd St. who had gone to check the mail at 6 a.m. The bottle was behind pieces of mail that may have been delivered over the past several days.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Hazardous Device Unit responded and rendered the suspicious bottle safe.
On Wednesday, two suspicious soda bottles were found in mailboxes in the 6300 blk. of 53rd Ave.
Police say anyone who encounters a suspicious bottle should not handle it and should contact police immediately.
