Twin Lakes Area Farmers Prove to be as Good as AAA at Country Thunder

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept. is giving a tip of the Stetson to Twin Lakes area farmers who pulled dozens of vehicles out of the mud at Country Thunder this year. The event, beleaguered by periods of heavy rain--ended Sunday.

Sheriff's Dept. personnel along with area farmers helped remove dozens if not hundreds of stuck vehicles and campers, according to a news release from the dept. Tuesday "Many of these vehicles were only able to be removed with the help of these farmers and their heavy equipment," the release said.

Many of the roads that lace the grounds were impassable at times, especially at the end of the four-day run on Sunday night, it said.

The number of arrests and citations that were issued this year were down, according to the dept. Still, 192 citations were issued for underage drinking. Seven concert-goers were arrested on various charges, including battery, disorderly conduct, drug dealing and operating while intoxicated.
