(WGTD)---Kenosha police confirmed Friday morning that two people were hit by gunfire Thursday night in the area of 60th St. and 22nd Ave. The injuries are being described as non-life threatening.

According to scanner reports, at least one victim was driven to Froedtert South Kenosha by a private vehicle which was riddled with bullet holes. More information is expected later in the morning.

Meanwhile, authorities have released new information in the case of a Wednesday evening police pursuit that ended with a crash and the death of the driver who was being chased.

The driver, believed to be a 31-year-old Kenosha man, collided with a pickup at 52nd St. and Sheridan Rd.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Thursday that a gun was recovered from the suspect's vehicle.

A shots-fired incident in a south side neighborhood is what had led to the chase which ended with the fatal crash with the pickup. The driver of the truck wasn't hurt, but the man's daughter was treated for minor injuries.

According to reports from the scene, a second person may have been in the suspect's vehicle, but that hasn't been confirmed by police. Neither was the suspect's identity.
