(WGTD)---Two stabbings in Racine County that are being called attempted murders. Just after 2 o’clock Tuesday morning Racine police responded to a residence in the 1800 block of North Main Street and found a woman with life-threatening stab wounds. An adult male was taken into custody at the scene. The female victim was transported to Froedtert Hospital. No other information was available.
There was also a stabbing in Union Grove on Monday afternoon. Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence in the 400 block of Mill Avenue. A woman called to report that her uncle had cut her father with a butcher knife and her father was bleeding from his head. A 63-year-old Union Grove man was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Racine County Jail possibly facing a number of charges including 1st degree attempted homicide. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening laceration to his forehead---and---was treated at Ascension Hospital in Racine and released.
