A Union Grove woman was killed in a two-car accident in Yorkville Tuesday afternoon. According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department---the accident happened in the 15-hundred block of Sylvania Avenue just before 2:30. The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a second vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn causing the accident. The woman was in a car with her husband---he has severe---but---not-life-threatening---injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. No names were released. At this time it appears that alcohol was NOT a contributing factor. The investigation continues.
