The two victims of Saturday's fatal one-car accident near Erie and South Streets in Racine have now been identified. The driver has been identified as Amber N. Hetland. The passenger has been identified as Haley N. Montee. Police say both were in critical condition when first responders arrived on scene. Both were transported by medical personnel but later died as a result of their injuries. Speed is believed to be a factor but it is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved. The Racine Journal Times is reporting that the two women were on their way to North Beach when the accident happened. The investigation is ongoing.
