WGTD and Kenosha Community Media will host a candidate forum for the contested races in the April 3rd election on both the Kenosha City Council and County Board. The forum will be held on Thursday, March 29, 6pm, at Gateway Technical College, 3520-30th Avenue, Kenosha. It will be held in Room S-100A in the recently renovated Academic Building. This room is a multi-purpose room located just off the new atrium.
All candidates in the contested races have been invited. Each race will be allotted approximately 8 minutes. The races will be taken in numerical order---according to district---beginning with the City Council races starting at 6pm. Len Iaquinta is the forum moderator.
The forum is free and open to the public.
The forum will be broadcast Thursday, the 29th, on WGTD Facebook Live starting at 6pm. It will then be archived for later viewing. An edited version will be aired on WGTD’s Community Matters program on Saturday, March 31st, at 11am.
Kenosha Community Media will air the candidate forum on Saturday, March 31st, at 6pm; Sunday, April 1st, at 5pm; and, Monday, April 2nd, at 8:30pm on Kenosha Community Media Channel 14 on Spectrum Cable. The program will also be uploaded to the Kenosha Community Media You Tube page for viewing.
On Saturday, WGTD will air a KUSD School Board Forum at 10:30am during the Education Matters program. Carthage Professor Karin Sconzert will serve as moderator. The forum will be taped on Saturday March 30th.
