The WGTD Radio Theater returns this Saturday with an original World War II drama entitled “Our Secret Sisters.” The show is free to the public and will be held at the Kenosha Gateway Technical College campus at 11:15am

The production follows the story of two young women from America in 1942 who are recruited into espionage at a German naval camp. The women discover a plot by the Nazis to destroy the Capitol of the United States during President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s State of the Union address. In order to survive and save the President and his audience, they must escape the German camp with critical documents and supply them to the O.S.S or Office of Strategic Services. (O.S.S. is now known as the C.I.A.)

“Our Secret Sisters” is loosely based on the true stories of Elisabeth McIntosh who served as a spy during World War Two. McIntosh died in 2015 at the age of 100; The broadcast will be dedicated to her.
