A woman---walking on I-94 near the state line---was struck and killed early Friday morning. The Kenosha News is reporting that the Sheriff's Department said the driver of a commercial vehicle was headed south on I-94 at about 5:30 a.m. when he struck the woman. The driver pulled over and called 9-1-1. When deputies arrived they discovered the body of an adult female dead near the center median. A sheriff’s department spokesman told the newspaper, “There was no disabled vehicle nearby. It is unknown what the pedestrian was doing on the interstate.”
The crash is still under investigation. The driver has been cooperative with investigators.
