(WGTD)---A criminal complaint yields no information on just what 45 year-old Adam Threlkeld and 33 year-old Antero Medina were arguing about just before Threlkeld allegedly pulled out a gun and fatally shot Medina at Shenanigan's bar in Kenosha a week ago Sunday. But investigators said it appeared Threlkeld was getting increasingly agitated and aggressive with the interaction just before it turned deadly.
A slew of formal charges were filed Monday against Threlkeld. He remains hospitalized following an exchange of gunfire with police that led to his capture and arrest shortly after the fatal shooting.
The criminal complaint cites statements from the bartenders and images from tavern security cameras.
According to the complaint, Threlkeld, who is from Milwaukee and white, and another man walk into the tavern. Threlkeld and Medina being a conversation that appears to become heated. At one point, a bartender tells both to calm down. The conversation may have included a racial slur directed toward Medina who is black. Medina steps away to call his girlfriend for a ride home, saying he had gotten into trouble that he didn't specify.
Threlkeld can be seen with a gun in his hand, firing at Medina, who takes a few steps then falls to the ground near a pool table.
Threlkeld flee on foot but is arrested moments later after the gun battle.
Threlkeld is expected to appear in court on Friday.
